Description
Rim for Bavaria Round Hatch 24cm.
Replacement rim for old boats or for retrofitting in boats, which are intended for this purpose.
The socket for the Bavaria screw cap system 604.
The socket must be completely replaced if the seal is defective. The seal is mechanically mounted to the frame during the manufacture of the frame.
When retrofitting you should note:
Installation requires an absolutely flat surface with at least 290mm Ø.
There must be a cutout of 243mm or sawed out. This works quite well with the jigsaw and fine saw blade.
The bottom of the frame, which rests on the boat, must be ground very roughly. Do not damage the rubber seal!
The boat deck is also sanded.
Through the holes in the frame are drilled 12 holes 4mm Ø into the deck.
The frame is glued with adhesive-and-seal (permanently elastic adhesive from Würth) and at the same time wet-screwed
(Lens countersunk screws M4x16 with sealing washer and stop nut / stop cap nut).
