But it is even more comfortable with pump hose and compression bag (must be bought separately).

The pump hose connects the compression bag to the inflation flat valve of the mat.
The whole thing then works like a bellows.
Fill air into the compression bag, loosely close or hold the bag and press / put on the bag.
The air from the bag flows through the pump hose into the mat and refills it in a flash.
