The luggage hatch covers from Finland are famous for their tightness and durability.
Retrofitting or retrofitting is advisable if certain requirements are met:
The installation requires an absolutely flat surface with at least 235mm Ø.
A cutout of 200mm Ø must be available or be sawn out. This works very well with a jigsaw and a fine saw blade.
The underside of the frame, which rests on the boat, must be sanded very roughly. The boat deck is also sanded.
Approx. 8 holes 4mm Ø are drilled through the frame and deck.
The frame is glued on with glue and seal (permanently elastic glue from Würth) and screwed on while wet
(Raised countersunk head screws M4x16 with sealing washer and stop nut / stop cap nut).
The penetration of the fully installed frame is 193mm Ø.
